Poonam Prahlad is the Founder and Director of Media Moments, an integrated marketing communications company with a digital first approach, that help global brands and aggressive start-ups to reach out efficiently and effectively to the connected Indians.
An entrepreneur, a pioneer, a fashion enthusiast, and a passionately creative person, Poonam has spent a significant part of her career at the epicentre of finding solutions to toughest brand problems through ideas that connect, influence, transform and deliver results.
With a career spanning over two decades, she has spent most of her years in the fashion and lifestyle retail space. A fashion graduate from NIFT, she started her career with Reebok India as a designer. She further continued her fashion journey, with renowned fashion brands like Levis and Tommy Hilfiger in varied roles including designing, branding, marketing, and building category business. She quit the corporate life in 2009 to set up Media Moments.
An industry veteran today, she is known for her wide-ranging specialties which include anticipating trends that shape consumer mind-sets and behaviour, digital marketing along with a deeper understanding of media and commerce space in India. Over the years, she has helped a plethora of brands in fashion, consumer and technology space to strengthen their branding, positioning, and establish strong reputations. Her deep understanding of business perspective backed with communication expertise has helped many aggressive start-ups to become market leaders today.
Over the last 10 years, she has accelerated innovation at Media Moments, with a particular focus on developing edgy, new age, intelligent digital solutions and impactful 360 marketing campaigns. Today company under her able leadership has built a strong reputation of a leading marketing communication consultancy and a valued partner that helps human to human businesses to communicate effectively in a world of hybrid media. With Cafepopshop, Poonam wants to take shopping experience a step further by chronicling and deconstructing global trends in beauty and fashion space.
