Patricia Lorde

I am Patricia Lorde, and I like to describe myself as a mother, wife, daughter, author, International Speaker, poet and legal professional in that order. I have written Laid Bare ‘Collection of Poetry’ and the novel ‘The Journey’, which is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and my works is currently being republished though Conscious Dreams Publishing. I am enthusiastically embarking on an international speaking campaign called “Here I Stand!” where I move my audience into action, by telling them my truth and empowering them to be their best selves. This inspirational book entitled “Here I Stand” is due to be published by Conscious Dreams Publishing in October 2018.
My day job is a the Head of Legal and Compliance for a firm in the City of London. That is what I do, successfully I may add, however, it is not who I am. My passion is to work with people and through my own story and personal truth move them to achieve the life they want to live or better. Success for me is when you feel so uncomfortable with your own life that you start to want more for yourselves and loved ones around you. My story is about a woman who survives a plane crash as a child. Having plodded through life as reasonably successful adult, and feeling that I could accomplish anything, to a world that came crashing down to my feet at the age of 30 years old. My mother died of cancer suddenly, then a year later, my sister died of a cerebral brain haemorrhage, leaving three children behind with no father in the picture.
My testimony is about pushing through the days when all that was surrounding me was darkness. My story reveals how when I was on my knees physically, emotionally, and spiritually, I found a way to enable my passion to pull me through to the other side. I will relay to you the tools used to pick myself up and start to concentrate on the one area of my life outside of my children that brought me joy, and that was writing. I look forward to sharing with you the gifts and lessons that have been given to me, and to enable you to find your inner warrior to move you to the next phase of your reality.
