Paramita Saha has 18 years of contemporary dance training and has represented the country in art events and forums across 20 countries. She is co-director of Sapphire Creations Dance Company, a name to reckon with in the contemporary dance circuit of India. As a creative arts entrepreneur with ArtsForward she has a keen eye for curating outstanding performances in music, dance, theatre and allied disciplines and building concept shows with live art. She already travelled as a delegate to the British Dance Edition 2012, UK’s premier dance event, the only Indian delegate to International Exposure 2012, Israel’s showcase dance event at Tel Aviv, and chosen to participate in the Edinburgh Fringe Showcase 2013. Paramita has created and managed the Microsoft Create to Inspire Program in Kolkata inspiring sustainable consumption, the Out of the Shadows program for RAHI Foundation on child sexual abuse, connecting Heritage to the city’s youth through artistic collaboration through The Future of the Past. Paramita is an ArtThinkSouthAsia Fellow.
