Padmini Venkataraman is the CEO of Global Fin-Tech Connect (Headquartered in Singapore). We aim to bring the Global Fin-Tech community together and have a vision to be a Linkedin of the Fin-Tech world. Today with Woman encouraged in Tech field, nothing is impossible. Padmini comes with 14 years experience in Retail Banking with Top notch banks : Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, CIMB Bank and ICICI Bank. Prior to her startup, she was Vice President with CITI Asia based in Singapore and before that Head, Portfolio Management with ICICI in Mumbai. She has worked in USA, Singapore, Philippines, India, Indonesia. She has a Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from NUS, Singapore and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from AIM, Manila. She did her grade 1 in Chennai at Holy Angeles Convent school which prides itself of great Alumni like Ms. Indra Nooyi CEO of Pepsi. She is also a Fintech mentor and helps refine strategy for global fin-techs as a mentor. Panel speaker at EVENTS like ISTARTUP Accelerator Program : Garage Technology Ventures and IAxil – Building world class companies with coaching from Practitioners. She strongly believes in woman economic independence, is the road to being able to make choices. Why was Indra Nooyi so successful, at some point she faced the same dilemma of going to Yale or Getting Married. A balance between both career and life is important, however for woman to make choices, the first choice to make is that of economic independence and taking charge of one’s own life, and yet being able to equally adjust with family, society and friends. That delicate balance makes a woman empowered, bold and beautiful. It also makes a woman more beautiful when can balance between the East and Western culture, where she is just as family oriented and yet a boss who takes charge at work and feels empowered to make independent choices.
