Norma Perez

Norma Perez is Ashoka’s Andean Region Director. A sociologist by training, she graduated from Andres Bello Catholic University and was awarded with the U.K. Embassy’s Chevening Scholarship to complete postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics’ School of Anthropology, where she obtained a MSc in Law, Anthropology and Society. Norma is a social entrepreneur who has worked, for over 15 years, in the citizen sector contributing to strengthening Venezuela’s social fabric by collaborating with institutions working in human rights and social development. Before joining Ashoka in February 2010, she was the Director of the Pan-American Development Foundation in Venezuela (2006-2009). She co-founded the Chevening Alumni Association in Venezuela. Norma Pérez loves nature, sharing quality time with friends, traveling, meditate, listening to music and dancing.
