Noha co-founded 30 NORTH with her husband in 2015. She started by raising the equity financing for what was then her husband’s dream of setting up a coffee business today known as Egypt’s Homegrown Specialty Coffee Hub. Noha subsequently raised debt financing for upgrading the company’s roasting facility. Noha manages the day to day operations of the business.
She has over 20 years of experience in the Egyptian private equity, and investment banking industry. Noha’s last professional position (2017) was Partner in the Cairo office of Amwal AlKhaleej, which she joined as a senior associate in 2005 . Noha led and participated in M&A transactions during her tenures at Gulf Arab Investment Company, Sigma Capital, and the Arab Investment Company, one of EFG – Hermes’ first private equity companies. Noha started her career at the USAID-funded privatization project under Bechtel, and Arthur Andersen. In 2009, Noha was one of two Egyptians chosen to participate in a 6 week mentoring program organised by Fortune, and the US State Department. Noha spent her mentorship assignment at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (a Fortune 500 Company). She
was subsequently invited to attend the Fortune’s Most Powerful Women’s summit in September 2009. Noha served on the boards of Contact Cars, Sarwa Capital, Modern Nile Cotton Co, Amwal Al Arabia, Egyptian Spinning & Weaving, and Arab Cotton Ginning Co (EGX:ACGC). Noha is a CFA Charter holder and member of CFA Institute. Noha holds an MBA in Finance & Investment (UK), and a B.A. in Political Science from the American University in Cairo.
