Nishu Kaul has over nine years of experience in the development and private sectors. She has worked with various international non-profit organisations such as BBC Media Action, Society for Participatory Research in Asia and Voluntary Action Network India in thematic areas that include the environment. Before joining Earth Day network, Nishu Kaul was with the international communications firm, MSL as Senior Manager – Public Affairs, providing strategic counsel on CSR and sustainability communications to top corporate clients from various sectors like food & beverage, collaborative work spaces and industry associations etc.

Nishu has wide experience working with multiple stakeholders from local to global levels. She has interacted with ministries of the Government of India, international organisations such as UNFPA, Asia Foundation, USAID, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, non-profits and enterprises from India’s private industry.

Nishu has authored several papers. Some of her papers include ‘Enabling environment of the Voluntary sector in India’, published by VANI, India; ‘Participatory Strategies for Adult Education and Social Inclusion’, published by DVV Germany She has a Masters in Social Work, with specialization in Social Development from Jamia Millia Islamia University, India and was awarded the Gold Medal in recognition of securing first position in her Masters programme.
