As a marketing expert , Nermine Shehabeldine served the banking sector for more than 20 years , she Managed professionally the bank’s image across critical situations : 2011 revolution , NBE strategic restructure , helped raise the Bank’s profile as Egypt’s largest and most reliable financial institution, Focusing on customer base communications and expansion through marketing and advertising, she designed and implemented programs , Leveraging Egyptians’ interest in social media and online activities, encouraged customers to join the banking system, building the Bank’s clientele across a range of income levels, targeting SMEs, that significantly increased the Bank’s SME portfolio while promoting greater formal participation in the national economy.
Managing the Bank’s CSR activities Ms. Shehabeldine has grown the donations portfolio from EGP121m in 2012 to over EGP 4bn. For the past 5 years ,She has helped enlarge the traditional concept of ‘donations’ to embrace the importance of corporate social responsibility, and established a department dedicated to strategic, sustainable interventions. Under her leadership, the department’s portfolio covers the Bank’s contributions to key sectors, including health and education, housing development, youth capacity-building and support for sports participation. NBE is now recognized as Egypt’s most prominent corporate citizen, setting the standard for other members of the financial and corporate community. As a result, in 2018, NBE was named ‘Best Arab Bank’ by the World Union of Arab Bankers and was also the recipient of the Medal of Excellence from the Arab
