Nazneen Ichhaporia

Nazneen qualified as an advocate in 2009. She is a Partner with ANB Legal since 2014, and heads the Private Equity, M&A, Intellectual Property Rights and General Corporate practice of the Firm.

She has expertise in matters relating to venture capital investments, acquisitions of unlisted and listed companies, joint ventures, cross border transactions and structuring, and external commercial borrowings. Nazneen has, in the past, also been a part of various capital markets transactions like Initial Public Offer, Rights Issue and Qualified Institutional Placement.

She has considerable knowledge and experience in drafting, vetting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of transaction documents and issues, across diverse sectors such as pharma, infrastructure, information technology, media and communication.

She also has expertise in e-commerce related transactions and has participated in policy formulation with regards to data protection, privacy, user license and terms of use for web-portals and apps, etc.

She regularly advises clients on various aspects related to Franchising and Intellectual Property Rights, especially Trademarks and Copyrights, their registration, as well as different ways of commercializing such rights efficiently, without compromising on their protection.

Prior to joining the Firm, she was associated with reputed law firms in Mumbai like Kanga & Co. and Advaya Legal.

Nazneen has authored several interesting articles on topics ranging from technology and social media to arbitration and dispute resolution, which have been published in India, as well as by a leading international publishing house.
