She is a recognised and reputed INGO management Professional in India and overseas. She is among India’s leading GENDER EQUALITY & CHILD PROTECTION Specialist. Over last 35 years she has been able to catalyze and institutionalize number of structural changes in civil society organizations and Government in overall Child Protection and women’s development. She brings with her enormous experience of working in South Asia and Southeast Asia on various issues including gender equality, prevention of trafficking by promoting safe migration practices, education, economic rehabilitation of women victims of trafficking as well as employable skill-based education among youth. She has been a pioneer in fostering Public Private Partnerships (PPP) for addressing women’s issues and Child Labour. She has held positions like Country Director, Executive Director with various International Organizations as well as UN Migration Agency (IOM). Her strengths also include working under structural roots of the issues of poverty alleviation, caste system, gender inequalities and violations of rights of women and children. Through her work with number of UN agencies and funding agencies she has been able to mobilize policy and funds in favor of women and children development.
