Milagros del Pilar Herrero Buchanan, is a pioneer and promoter of the human rights of Yucatecan women working for the promotion of full citizenship for women, especially those in the Maya area of Yucatan, who have less access to the opportunities for full exercise of women’s citizenship. Presides over the Women’s Network for Joint Democracy (Remudepa) since 2017, with the experience of social activism from civic participation.
