Mike Ryan

Capt Mike Ryan has been a member of the Army Cadet Force for 24 years and the Commanding Officer of the 201 RAMC Harrow Detachment since the commencement of his tenure. In addition to this role he has also commanded the London Outreach programme for young crime vulnerable teenagers and the prestigious Canada overseas exchange programme. In the last 15 years he has led or participated in 41 overseas deployments and visited numerous countries including: Australia, Austria, Bavaria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, South Africa and the United States of America. He enjoys working with young people and giving them the chance to engage in opportunities and experiences that would not normally be available to them outside the cadet world. In recent years Capt Ryan has worked in gang intervention and he has been extremely successful in diverting young people away from this lifestyle and its association with criminality.
