Mikayla Allan

Mikayla Allan is a graduate student teaching and conducting research within the Plant and Environmental Sciences Department at New Mexico State University. Her research is focused on soil health, and spaciotemporal variability in soils. She received a BS in Environmental Science: Restoration Ecology with minors in Soil Science and Watershed Management from Humboldt State University. She has experience as one the few women conducting research in Oregon and working as a Biological Soils Technician in Montana. Allan was born and raised on the California coast, where she developed a passion for environmental stewardship, independence, and self-empowerment.
