Marisol is an expert with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of open innovation, fintech and digital transformation. She is Chief Open Innovation Officer at South Summit, the global open innovation platform that connects startups, investors and corporations to generate business opportunities. She’s also CEO and Founder of Bilakatu, a company dedicated to research and explore Open Innovation and Ecosystem Orchestration. Formerly Global Head of Open Innovation at BBVA and leader for implementation of strategic and transformation projects. Former Head of Open Innovation at NFI – Nordic Future Innovation, the network to bring the nordics together to boost global sustainable innovation. She’s an author of the framework “3 dimensions of Open Innovation”, applying first hand learnings and from the +120 corporations from different sectors and 10 different countries.
She’s advisor for startups and tech companies in the areas of strategy, growth, corporate relationship and tech future. She’s also a well seasoned speaker and facilitator in areas of innovation, strategy and collaboration working with corporations and organizations all around the world.
She’s leading the ecosystem “Women In Tech Spain”, a networking group to bring visibility to executive women in digital careers.
An Industrial Engineer with an MBA, Marisol is known for her inclusive leadership style, talent for creating high-performance teams, and ability to establish lasting connections. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, has significant international work experience, and loves to travel.
