Doctor Engineer Marianne Amir Azer is a member of the Egyptian Parliament, Member of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), Chair of Women and Youth Committee in the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace. Member in the Parliamentary Assembly Union for the Mediterranean (PA-UFM). President of Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) board in Egypt. Member of Foreign Affairs Committee and Scientific Research Committee, National Council for Women, Egypt. Cofounder of the Arab Women in Computing (ArabWiC) International Organizaion Honored in 2018 by the Ministry of Culture among the top 10 public figures at the national level. Ranked among the Top 50 influential women in Egypt for the year 2017. Ranked among the Top 10 Public Speakers in Egypt in the year 2010. Associate Professor, Nile University (NU). Associate Professor, and the director of information center at the National Telecommunication Institute. Before joining the parliament, she was the Advisor of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology for Strategic Initiatives. She holds a PhD in Electronics and Communications Engineering. She holds many certificates from the USA in Human Development. Received a lot of awards and recognitions both on the international and national Levels. Member of International and National organizations in Diverse fields such as Politics, Women, Science, Technology, Culture, angel investment, and governance. Has Championships in Swimming and awards in singing.
Azer Amir Marianne. Dr MP Biography Degrees and Experience: Dr. Azer obtained her BSc, MSc, and PhD in the Electronics and Communications Engineering. She has more than 18 years of experience in Communications and Information Technology. Throughout her career, she held several positions, either academic or managerial in several universities and organizations. To mention a few, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the National Telecommunication Institute, Nile University, Cairo University, the American University in Cairo, the French University, the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport. Publications: Dr. Azer is an author/ co-author of over 60 publications in refereed journals and/or conference presentations. Awards and Fellowships: She received awards, certificates, and fellowships from different international institutions. To name a few, the US Department of State, Academy of Science, Research, and Technology, Google, the University of Michigan Dearborn, The British Council. Was honored in 2018 by the Ministry of Culture among the top 10 public figures at the national level. She has been ranked among the Top 50 influential women for the year 2017, she has been honored in the Egyptian Parliament by the Speaker of the House for her international achievements in Information and Communication Technology. She was also honored by the President of the Majority for the same Purpose. She was honored by the organization of African Arab Unity for her role in Education. She was honored in March 2016 in Egyptian Embassy in Washington DC for Public Service and Scientific Academia.
Azer Amir Marianne. Dr MP Biography In addition, she has been recogniwed by Nile University in Egypt for her contributions in the Communication and Information Technology Sector. Memberships and other Activities: Dr. Azer is is a board member of the international observatory for women speaking French, a board member Arab Women in Computing (AWIC) organization, a syster affiliate of Anita Board Institution. She is also a member of the National Committee on African Governance, and a member of Cairo University Board for Culture. She is a member of the women committee of the Parliamentarian union for the Euro Mediterranean countries, and a member of the Telecommunication Committee in the Egyptian Parliament. Dr. Azer is a member of several other scientific and civic organizations, to mention a few, the Research Committee and Foreign Affairs Committee in the National Women’s Council, the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, and board member of the Arab Organization for Young Scientists. Her areas of expertise include Communication and Information Technology, network and information security, cloud computing privacy and security, e-Learning, and Engineering Education. Dr. Azer was invited as a speaker, panelist, and keynote speaker in a number of international conferences and events. She is also a reviewer and a technical committee member in many international and national conferences. It is worth mentioning that she was ranked amongst the top 10 public speakers in Egypt.
