Persuasive Social Development & Public Health Professional an advocate for Gender/ Human Rights with over 20 years of experience in offering Techno-managerial, Strategic Planning and Advocacy support to Government, Multilateral organisations, Corporate, and Philanthropies.
Currently, as Senior Advisor, Tata Trusts, she leads the Trusts’ efforts to build strategic relationships with governments, UN, multilateral organizations, private philanthropists, and other key partners to increase program awareness, action, and resources. Offering advisory on SDGs, Health, Nutrition, Adolescent and Gender. As Senior Advisor on Tata Trusts project, India Consensus, Dr. Bakshi was instrumental in identifying the smartest solutions to some of India’s most pressing development challenges, advising policy-makers and philanthropies how to spend their money most effectively.
Before this, as a Senior Technical Officer National RMNCH+ A she supported Govt. of India at National, State, District, and Block level for implementing RMNCH+A Strategy across 184 HPDs in 29 states and 7 UT’s reaching our services that impacting 300 Million populations on USAID project.
Dr. Bakshi has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with an international NGO, UVCT working towards Gender and Adolescents connecting and changing lives of the adolescents and young women, spotting their talent and letting them realize their potential.
As Government Consultant UNDP Project,” Mainstreaming HIV/Aids” Dr. Bakshi offered Techno managerial and Advocacy support Ministry of Tourism, Tribal and surface transport.
Dr. Bakshi as a Workplace adviser on ILO project, Tripartite Response to HIV/AIDS, have been instrumental in putting the HIV/AIDS component in the policy in the framework of 12 major corporate and 286 members of the hospitality sector.
In brief, Dr. Manorama is a multitasking person who has the Capability to get things done by keeping people motivated towards the focused social development goals and thereby driving Stakeholders towards attaining the critical objectives of the organization. She has developed a unique way of connecting with key influences and decision-makers for doing a larger good to society. As a professional, Manorama is open to feedback, she says feedback is food for Champions. She firmly believes that women need to raise the ladder: work as leaders as they are the ones who will show how to reach the last mile-Must for attaining the Sustainability. And above all, she a mother, daughter, sister, and wife who tries to do her best to accomplish all these roles. She is a survivor of Kashmir diaspora, heading women’s wing of All India Kashmiri Samaj.
