Laufey Axelsdottir

Laufey Axelsdóttir is a PhD Student in Gender Studies at the University of Iceland. Her PhD project aims at contributing to a better understanding of the under–representation of female managers by examining how corporate gender quotas, recruitment policies, networking and family responsibility influence gender balance in top level positions. Her recent publication in this field is The Realization of Gender Quotas in Post-collapse Iceland (2017), published in NORA – Nordic Journal of Feminist and Gender Research. In 2015, Laufey co-authored Women and Men as Business Leaders in Iceland, published by The Centre for Gender Equality.
