Never say Die attitude coupled with an ability to sense the economic environment shaping India during late 90’s, enabled Lakshmy to Express her Entrepreneurial energies.
She founded Kaizen Consult in 2002 – to fulfil market demands of hiring large work force for the new age businesses entering India – BPO’s / Business Process Outsourcing. This industry came with a huge demand for People Hires, Transport contracts, Cafeterias, Office Spaces and Special Economic Zones. Kaizen Consult moved into this space without losing time and built experience and expertise around Campus hiring, Bespoke tools for Psychological and Social skill measuring tests, Vendor development across sectors.

Prior to donning an Entrepreneur hat, Lakshmy held Leadership position in Corporate & Social sector for over a decade
As Dy.Director in HelpAge India, One of India’s largest NGO in age care in India. The role involved raising large value funds from the global comity of Nations and International bodies. This responsibility was to ensure over 50% of long term initiatives were fully funded.
During this tenure Lakshmy oversaw a massive rehabilitation operation in the State of Gujarat in India, following one of the most devastating earthquakes in 2001 supported by the Government of Japan.
Launched the Telemedicine initiative for Eye care in hinterland districts of the State of Rajasthan in India. This program ensured free eye care to over 10,000 people living poverty line.
Partnered with Development of Foreign & International Development, DFID, UK for the revival of the traditional watershed management project in Rajasthan.
In 2001, Lakshmy Curated one of the Prestigious Fund Raiser at the residence of the then Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, who was the Patron of Help the Aged/UK.
In her Corporate avatar Lakshmy was Head of Elizabeth Arden/Unilever for W J Towell, Oman.
Personal background:
Holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Master’s Degree in Sociology and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
Held the position of Lady Representative in the Student Council, Bombay University 1982 – 83
Member of Junior Chamber of Commerce, JAYCEE an international body for young entrepreneurs in the 80’s.
Rotarian from 2001- 2005
Avid Quizzer and won many awards & Prizes for the College and University.
A Chakra Energy & Reiki specialist. Holds Talks and Workshops for Individuals and Organizations across the world on Energy healing.
A culture biographer, Lakshmy reads and travels widely on documentation & Research Projects. She has been travelling around “The Indian Ocean Rim” for the last few years to build deeper understanding of the ancient civilizations and their connectedness to each other for cultural and Trade Exchanges. These research travels have enabled real understanding of people & Culture –ancient Bazaar of Muttrah Souq in Oman, The largest remains of temples of Angkor Wat/ Cambodia, The Buddhist Temples of Sri Lanka, remains of the Pallava Dynasty of Kancheepuram in India. Lakshmy’s Research centres around the food, clothing, language, Trading & Trade Guilds, Diplomatic Relationships and Educational Hubs of the ancient civilizations.
A food crafter with an accent on – Eat Local, Eat Seasonal.
Multilingual. Cycling is a Favourite hobby.
