Kristín I. Pálsdóttir is a Project Manager for RIKK – Institute for Gender, Equality and Difference, University of Iceland and a spokeswomen for The Root – Association on Women, Addiction and Mental Health (Ice. Rótin – félag um málefni kvenna með áfengis- og fíknivanda). She has a B.A. in Spanish and Tourism and an M.A. in Editorship and Theory of Publication from the University of Iceland. Kristín has held various jobs in translation and as a specialist in a library and has for years participated in feminist and environmental NGO’s and activism in Iceland. She coordinated a a very successful conference on women, addiction, trauma and treatment in Iceland in September 2015.
