Koral Dasgupta is an author, academic, columnist, painter and professional speaker.
Her first book titled “Power of a Common Man” academically analyses Shah Rukh Khan as a brand personality; her second book, a fiction titled “Fall Winter Collections” explores the romantic journey of a sculptor at Santiniketan, the land of art music and poetry. .
She teaches Marketing Management studies, Communications and Creative Writing to the post graduate levels in management and journalism colleges. She is also a Content Consultant and works with corporate houses in the editorial and marketing space to develop audience-friendly web and print literature.
Koral’s columns spread across websites and magazines explore art, education, parenting, mythology, travel, women’s issues, books, films and others.
Her paintings, often inspired by the Madhubani art form, are auctioned for social causes, the most prominent among it being the #Art4Water campaign where two of her paintings were auctioned and the proceeds were donated towards water conservation projects of Maharashtra.
She is an advisory member at the Censor Board of Film Certification and reports from Mumbai. She is also the ALL Committee Chairperson for Readers and Writers under the ALL Ladies League (ALL).
