I am an energetic, optimistic & compassionate social worker working for the underprivileged indigenous tribal communities of Gulma & Mohurgong Tea-estate in Darjeeling district of West Bengal, India.
A short note about my organisation: Power of the Heart is a humanitarian Developmental Project working in areas of Education, Good Health & Nutrition. The organisation is designed to impart service & other provisions to underprivileged children & their families. Thus the NGO in other words is empowering and enhancing the quality of their lives in desirable direction. The basic principle of execution and implementation is solely through Love, Trust, Compassion and Friendship. The NGO believes that these will help them grow to be progressive, affectionate, emotionally balanced and sound individuals. The NGO focuses more on enriching and enabling children to acquire necessary ability to pursue their studies in formal school system. We are particular in finding out the school drop-outs, non-school goers & sorting out problems with truancy, repetition in class, inability to achieve minimum level of learning, disruptive behaviour etc. We help them to re-join school and also provide assistance to bring
children between the age group of 5-16yrs to our centre for necessary guidance and other facilities as mentioned hereunder.
