Ms. Knight Muteti Langat is the Founder and Executive Director of Daughters Of Kenya, a registered non-profit making charitable Trust organization guided by Christian Values, Ethics and Principles working to improve and change the lives of the vulnerable girls and young mothers in Kenya. Knight is a first born in a family of four children. She was brought up in Wote location part of Makueni County of Kenya by a Human Rights Crusader Father who also supported the vulnerable children in his community through his career and a teacher mother. At a very tender age, Knight had a vision to change the lives of the vulnerable girls around her hence, her dad encouraged her to specialize her first degree in Bachelor of Arts; Social Work at the University Of Nairobi. Following the death of her father on June 1, 2012 that challenged her well-being and Vision, Daughters Of Kenya was born as she states, “I questioned myself if life had totally changed without one parent, how would it be to the Orphaned children?” After a period of three years of exploration and study, Knight established the Kenyan Daughter Trust Network in 2016 which later changed its name to Daughters of Kenya with a vision of Empowering, Improving and Changing the lives of the Vulnerable Girls and Young Mothers in Kenya. Daughters Of Kenya is governed by 7 Board of Directors where Knight seats as the Board Secretary.
Knight was conferred on the Award of ICONIC WOMEN CREATING A BETTER WORLD FOR ALL at the global Women Economic Forum 2017 held on 8-13, May 2017; New Delhi, India. She has also participated in leadership Training, Forums, Workshops, Conferences and Global Meetings in Uganda, Nigeria, South Africa, Italy, Norway and Malaysia
