Khomotšo Mashalane

Khomotṧo is an inventive and pioneering individual, who welcomes challenges in a humble manner, Khomotṧo is a strategic relations expert, specialising in human resources. Although having a wealth of cross-functional experience, she has a passion for her chosen specialty and continually strives to achieve best practice whilst identifying, creating and implementing organisational strategy through stakeholder management as well as mentoring, coaching and motivation of human capital.

Khomotṧo currently holds the position of Head – Human Resources & Strategic Relations at one of the best Medical Schemes in South Africa, Resolution Health Medical Scheme.

Khomotṧo’s key focus is researching issues concerning women in leadership, salary disparities between men and women as well as the numerous other social and workplace equity challenges women face. Khomotṧo is often called on to deliver presentations on the transformation of women both in society and in the workplace. She is an expert at identifying equity gaps within organisations and provides assistance and guidance to such organisations in developing sustainable turnaround strategies. Khomotṧo’s mantra is: “When women thrive, businesses and communities thrive”.

Khomotṧo has completed a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management through Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University), UK. She is currently studying towards a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) through Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University). In addition, she has recently participated in the fundraising initiative, ‘Summit for Hope’, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru peak in aid of raising funds for the education of those less fortunate.
