Kavya Dutta

Kavya Dutta comes from a family of progressive thinkers and stalwarts in the field of spiritual science and social reform. She is the great grand niece of Paramhansa Yogananda and grand daughter of Bijoy Mullick.
Kavya was determined to take this family legacy forward and hence studied and took highly specialized training in Complementary & Alternative Medicine, specializing in Yoga as a Therapy, from USA.With a belief that yoga has the power to heal individuals regardless of the setting, Kavya has had the privilege to offer Yoga Life Skills Programs to youth in at Central Juvenile Hall (CJH) in Los Angeles, USA – November 2010 – January 2013. She participated in monthly meetings with County staff to discuss the service needs of youth involved in both child welfare and juvenile justice systems, known commonly as “crossover youth.”
As a result, Kavya along with URY (Uprising Yoga – 501.C.3 non profit organization, California USA) has conducted many empowerment program for the underprivileged girls and has taken part in the “Each One Teach One” conference for transition-aged youth, held by the Department of Children and Family Services, California.After returning back to India in 2013, September, Kavya has been focused to work with Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) and Housewives facing Domestic Violence and Orphans. She also conducts free Meditation Classes for an International NGO named Unify Global Sisterhood (A women- only space where women from diverse backgrounds comes and shares their journey, insights and stories. It is a safe space for women to be heard, seen and to transform. We inspire self- forgiveness, empowerment and healthy relationships with other women). Kavya is heading their Kolkata Chapter.Kavya’s organization Barganza and it’s ALL WOMEN staff receive specialized training on holistic wellness along with travel expertise. This helps us create holidays, travels that are closer to our soul and ones, which ignite our passion for life. BARGANZA, Kavya’s travel company is a passion that has taken form. They organize adventure trips that incorporate kayaking, climbing, backpacking, and more where no guys are allowed. They lead very intimate journeys like Spiritual Renewals and Yoga Retreats. They design Culinary Tours, where women who are food connoisseurs can join for a gastronomical expedition of a lifetime. They offer women’s-only itineraries, with trips that range from hardcore outdoor adventures to luxe, glamping-style getaways to holidays, which emphasize mind-body connection.
