Kavita graduated at Birkbeck College University of London with a law degree in 2016 and has been doing extensive work within communities while specializing in community and business development for the past 12 years. Working specifically in areas of low socio-economic development. Building community relationships of empowerment enablement of people and the power of co-creating with local communities. Kavita has10 years’ experience in funding and bid writing.
Kavita has been fortunate to receive many awards for her work such as BBC Asian Awards 2001 (Young Achievers Award Birmingham NEC), Children of Courage award 2000 Westminster Abby, Buckinghamshire Golden Jubilee, Youth Achievement Award 2002, BBC News for children of courage awards 2000. Kavita has worked with a range of communities from BME, Youth, Disabilities, Elderly, and woman, working to reduce the difficulties faced by individuals and families in their communities. Kavita trained and was an active participant at the world forum for Ethics in business at the European Parliament and represented the world youth forum for ethics and business back in 2013. Kavita international work of community development and ethical leadership and unity empowerment of sharing, learning, and resources on a global level with projects in Jamaica, India, and Africa that looked at utilizing models of best practices which can be implemented by communities locally, nationally and globally. Kavita is still planning and organizing the next world youth forum conference with the youth world lab for 2019 in Jamaica, 2020 in the UK, Cuba and working on bringing BLESST YLAB (Youth Leader Advisory Board) to these youth world conferences.
