Kate Keisel

Kate Keisel is the Chief Executive Officer of the Sanar Institute, a leading organization in trauma healing and transformation for diverse individuals impacted by trauma and loss. Ms. Keisel has worked for over a decade in the anti-trafficking field, focusing on trauma healing and transformation in within the United States, Latin America, West Africa, and South Asia. Ms. Keisel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies with a focus on human rights in Latin America and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work with a focus on complex trauma with post-graduate certificates on evidence-based modalities such as EMDR. Ms. Keisel’s work is informed by her own lived experience with trauma healing and transformation, academic and clinical training, and years of working with hundreds of individuals on their own healing journey. She believes that every person should have the opportunity to heal in their own way, at their own pace, and have access to the resources that foster resiliency, inspire hope, and allow each individual to build a life of their choosing.
