Hi. My name is Kate Ashley-Norman, and I am a Thrive consultant working out of both Peterborough and Didim in Turkey.
I first came across Thrive about five years ago. I was struggling with losing the weight after the birth of my fourth child, and had turned to hypnotherapy to help me lose it. I enjoyed the process so much that I wanted to look into becoming a hypnotherapist myself. My Google searching kept bringing me back to Rob Kelly.
Rob soon turned my fledgling interest in hypnotherapy into a full on passion for Thrive. And here is why. Throughout my life I had gone through bouts of anxiety, low self esteem and self-doubt. But I could never understand why.
I came from a good, stable, loving family. Went to a good school, gained average results, was appointed head girl and managed to secure a place at university.
Probably didn’t study hard enough, always felt I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, got an uninspiring 2.2 degree, got my first job just a few weeks after graduating. Had good friends, a little Fiat Uno called Eric, and the constant feeling that everything I wanted was just out of my reach.
That feeling ‘pursued’ me throughout my 20s and 30s – despite the fact that I set up my own PR consultancy, despite the fact that I eventually married a wonderful man and had four gorgeous children.
