Ms. Kari Egge is a Norwegian citizen with a more than 30 years’ career from development organizations and the United Nations, mostly based in developing countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Ms. Egge has held leadership positions most of these years and has among other positions, been Representative for Save the Children, Norway in the Maldives, Country Director in Norwegian People’s Aid in South Sudan, UNICEF Representative in Iran, Director for UNICEF Emergency Operations in New York, Director for UNAIDS Program Support Department in Geneva, and finally UN Resident Coordinator in Namibia.
Upon retirement from the UN, she started her own enterprise, Half the World, Women, Knowledge, Leadership from where she develops and offers leadership development programs for women at different levels and for different purposes. She is also consulting and lecturing at universities and in organizations.
In 2016 she was awarded All Ladies League Iconic Women in Social Change at the Women Economic Forum in New Dehli, India
Ms. Egge is currently finalizing a Master of Arts in Leadership, Innovation and Change at York university. She also holds a V.A. in nutrition, pedagogics, English and biology/ecoøogy.
