Karen is a CTI Certified Professional Co-Active Coach known for her empowerment and leadership work with women around the world. She specialises in relationship coaching, body wisdom & leadership empowerment. Karen is committed to unlocking the power and potential of women across a range of sectors and cultures. Her work is dedicated to empowering women to show-up powerfully, purposefully and collaboratively. It’s about women doing it together, in partnership with men. Her business, A Tribe Called Woman was born out of a genuine need to nurture feminine leadership and wellbeing in today’s world. The business is committed to inspiring purposeful businesses that place feminine empowerment, leadership and wellbeing at their heart. Under this guise, Karen creates and leads a range of leadership accelerator programmes designed by women for women, these include women’s circles, courses, workshops, retreats and executive coaching programmes. She created A Tribe Called Woman because she saw a need to create a purposeful movement of women who want to live life differently by creating heart felt bonds and working on their sense of belonging, and community. Her work is committed to bringing back sacred time for women and creating a safe space for women to come home to themselves, to their hearts, and to their life’s calling. Her purpose is to help women, businesses and communities to thrive. She does this by coaching women on the power of purpose and courage, and inspires them to lead, and innovate. Karen and her business partner Helen empower women to manage their professional, personal, social and wellbeing goals. “We are passionate about realising positive change in people and through our collective 40 years corporate experience, bring a deep understanding of the pressures and challenges facing women working in fast paced environments and how to address them. Our tried and tested model is based upon insights of working with hundreds of women around the world. We are unique because we link body, mind and purpose together, teaching women to tune into their core and follow their instincts,” says Karen. Previously, Karen spent twenty years launching and building brands for sale, holding senior exec positions within the fields of PR, marketing and brand building. She is creative maverick who believes in the power of giving back, her corporate ideas involved raising $20million through the creation of a limited-edition pink GHD iron for Breakthrough Breast Cancer – this initiative is still in operation today. She was also involved in the creation of a ‘self esteem focused’ beauty board for The Princes Trust, Prince Charles youth focused chartity that helps young people with job and business opportunities. Karen has also taught and lectured part time at Leeds Beckett University in the Faculty of Business and Law.
As a coach, Karen’s clients have included Soho House, Sweaty Betty, London College of Fashion, Cana Laboratoiries & Alfol Publishing. She has also been featured in Good Housekeeping, Prima, The Daily Telegraph, In The Moment magazine, Hello! Fashion monthly, Heat! and appeared on ITV’s The Tonight programme. She has also been named at ‘One to Watch’ for her coaching skills in March 2018’s CV Magazine, a global publication that profiles innovative company’s with a successful corporate vision.
