Kanchan Sukhija is self-learner and highly determined young woman entrepreneur who has made her mark in the Indian business industry with her e-commerce venture CompareMunafa.com. She is the Co-founder and CEO of Compare Munafa and is responsible for the smooth functioning and execution of strategic goals of the Company. She believes that there is no end of learning, thus takes inspiration from everyone and everything around her. She has bagged Young women Entrepreneur of the year 2015 award from Youth Pathsala. Unlike many other shopping portals in the online space, CompareMunafa.com lists products from all online portals and deploys analytics to display meaningful information such as price trends graphs and detailing. It allows customers to save time, effort and money by screening through an array of shopping websites and offering the best options available to a customer. CompareMunafa.com also offers a unique proposition through which customers can earn Munafa points which is similar to cashback while making purchases through CompareMunafa.com. She believes in being the consumer herself before being the face of the brands. According to her “If we can convince ourselves to an action then convincing what we believe in follows quite naturally. That’s we follow the Mantra: Na Sirf Bachao Munafa Bhi Kamao” Kanchan also believes in being socially responsible and apart from managing CompareMunafa.com, she is associated with SUIT (Societal Upliftment Initiative Trust) as a Treasurer, which works towards upliftment of Underprivileged Children.
She completed her bachelor in business management from Nottingham University Business School and earned her Masters in finance from the University of Southampton for Actuarial Science. Kanchan began her career as an executive in Jardian Lolyds Thompson India where she was recognized for her work and received a spot award within 6 months of joining the company. Learning her way through the curve, Kanchan was instrumental in rolling out CompareMunafa.com to address the need gap prevailing in the industry. Her greatest inspiration is her father. She has learnt the basics of business from her father and his rich value system have made her the person she is today. He once told her a famous quote “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” He has taught her nothing is impossible and we should never give up in life. He is not only an inspiration but also a mentor and her biggest strength.
