Joshua Popky

Josh is a father of three young boys, raising his family here in Albuquerque, NM. He is a craftsman with backgrounds in forestry and furniture making. He received his BA in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado, and has trained with master furniture makers in New Hampshire and the Boston, MA area. Since moving to New Mexico three years ago, he has spent some of his time working in the film industry here, building movie sets and props. He is a member of the IATSE Local 480, the union representing film industry technicians. He and his wife Rachael also run their own business in real estate investment. A jack of all trades type, he really enjoys making and fixing things of any kind. He and his wife Rachael take pride in their homestead where they are raising chickens and rabbits, and teaching their boys how to care for the animals and the land. When they aren’t busy here in town, they are usually skiing or riding mountain bikes somewhere in the mountains of Colorado, Utah or New Mexico.
