Former member of Althingi, the Icelandic Parliament, chair and deputy-chair for a number of Parliament´s Committees, Vice-President for of The Nordic Council, Minister for the Environment and Nordic Cooperation. Jonina holds a Masters degree in Law from University of Iceland and practiced Law as Attorney before entering politics. – Main NGO work: Chaired “Heimili og Skóli” the Icelandic Parents Association for 8 years, in 1999 Co-founded and was elected 1st Chair for FKA – The Icelandic Association of Women Business Leaders. Member of the IPC – International Planning Committee for the GSW – Global Summit of Women since 2001. In 2013 Co-Founded A-FKA the Business owners/Entrepreneurs division of FKA and has since served as it´s Chair.”
