Jomilin John is a young changemaker, a youth and climate advocate, and the founder of a young youth organization named CANIOP which stands for “Creating a New India of Possibilities” which aims to work in line with the UN SDGs at the very early age of 18. More than being a final-year political science student at the University of Delhi, she has a keen interest in international relations and diplomacy and has even represented India as a delegate in various youth and climate conferences such as G-Stic, Conference Youth India 2022 to draft policy recommendations ahead of COP 27, Dialogue on Adaptation Action – Glasgow Climate Pact, Emerging Leader’s Conference, etc and is an active team member of various international organizations and has completed her Certified training program and Advocacy Academy training of the World Youth Alliance. She is currently also serving as the deputy – chairperson for the India-Russia youth forum at Global youth. Recently she got selected as the regional intern for the Asia Pacific at World Youth Alliance and the core team member of the content and research department of the YOUNGO Communications Working Group for COP 27. An avid reader, writer, and public speaker with published works even on esteemed platforms like the Times of India. Her major research is on areas of global importance such as sustainable consumption, climate change-inflicted inequalities, etc. She aims to work for the holistic development of the youth by defending human dignity through her impact.
