Jayabrato Chatterjee, well-known film director, literary editor, novelist and corporate communications expert, is based in Calcutta. An English Honours graduate from St Stephen’s College, Delhi, Chatterjee’s last feature film, Lovesongs: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow starring Jaya Bachchan, Om Puri and Shahana Chatterjee received critical acclaim in several international film festivals. Chatterjee has spent over thirty years advising NGOs on changing public perceptions of disability in India and is a member of the Governing Body of ADAPT (Able Disabled All People Together), Mumbai. He has also served as Writer-in-Residence at the University of Stirling in Scotland. Last Train To Innocence, his maiden work of fiction, won the international Hawthornden Fellowship and his latest novel, A Soft Eclipse, is a best-seller. Chatterjee is also the Managing Editor of Pot Purri, a lifestyle magazine supported by the AmbujaNeotia Group. His interests lie in world cinema and Indian classical and popular music.
