Since 1989, Dr. Heba Hagrass has been an international disability consultant, researcher, and advocate for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities whether in Egypt, the Arab Region, or worldwide. She is currently a member of many councils, networks, and committees locally and regionally all of which are concerned with disability. Being a physically disabled lady herself, she was amongst the disabled women who participated in the drafting of Article 6 in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) about disabled women.
