H.E. Mona Omar

Ambassador Mona Omar is a carrier diplomat , she has 35 years of experience in diplomacy , ranging from being Ambassador of Egypt in many countries , to being the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Africa, for more than 5 years .
She is currently :
• member of the Panel of Eminent Personalities of the African Peers Review Mechanism , which is an African Union Mechanism ,
• member of the United Nations Advisory Committee on Human Rights and The Communication Group , in Geneva ,
• Board member of The National Council of Women in Egypt , Chair of the Committee of Foreign Relations of the Council ,
• Board member of the Egyptian Council of Foreign Relations (ECFA) ,
• Chair of the Board of Salema NGO to combat violence against Women,
• Member of the Board of Trustees of the Canadian University in the New Administrative Capital ,
• CEO of Afrodev Consultancy firm on Africa ,
• Adviser on Africa to the President of the General Authority for Construction and Housing Co-operatives ,
• Board member of the African Association for Tourism and Development ,
• Lecturer and trainer on African Affairs , and Women Affairs .
