My ambition in life is to contribute to an African society that is devoid of poverty, war, and epidemics. I dream of a continent that is knowledge driven by a highly educated population of young men and women. A continent where the girl child is not deprived of her rights to education and given the opportunity and support to aspiring to greater heights like their male counterparts. As an activist, my contribution is to transfer knowledge and skills into the younger generations, especially girls, and this I have done very well through my eleven years working experience as a lecturer in academia. I have inspired, motivated, mentored and trained several young men and women, who have become very useful to society and living responsible lives as citizens of Ghana and beyond. I am currently advancing my career and knowledge base through research in areas that directly impact the everyday lives of Africans, specifically, the culture of the African Societies that directly impact on girls, women, and children. I anticipate that my contribution in this work will bring to a paradigm shift in terms of perspectives and practices that would attenuate the burdens on girls, women, and children in emerging African societies.
