Gita Ramesh

For those in the wellness industry Mrs. Gita Ramesh needs no introduction. A bachelor in Alternate Systems of Medicine & Surgery and M Sc. (Biochemistry), she is India’s leading authority in the Science and practice of Ayurveda. Hailing from a family of acclaimed vaids (Doctors), Mrs. Ramesh accompanied by her husband Mr. K. V. Ramesh carried forward the legacy through Kairali, a brand synonymous with 5000-year-old medical science called “Ayurveda”, which in its tenure that has benefitted people across the globe to lead a healthy, happy life. Recently conferred as – Leading Women in Ayurveda, 7th Annual Women Leaders in India & Awards 2017.
She launched the first Kairali Ayurvedic Centre (New Delhi) in 1989 followed by a self-sustaining wellness retreat at Palakkad, Kerala called Kairali – The Ayurvedic Healing Village (Formerly known as “Kairali Ayurvedic Health Resort”) opened in 1999. Today the company under its umbrella has over thirty centres spread in India and abroad.
Kairali Group’s brands Kairali Ayurvedic Products and the Kairali Ayurvedic Institute of Ayurveda & Panchkarma Therapy are fine examples of her dedication to promote the 5,000-year-old medical science.
She has also authored two books “Ayurvedic Herbal Massages” and “The Ayurvedic Cookbook”, which has been translated into various other languages including English and Dutch.
Today Mrs. Gita Ramesh is the Joint Managing Director of the Kairali Ayurvedic Group and provides employment to over 700 employees in 35 locations across 10 countries.
