Gieta Budjhawan is the PA of Manely, the creator and founder of the Ellamo Foundation. Ellamo aims to support and finance the production of cultural & educational goods, amongst others films that matter and have a social positive impact as well support of improvement of education systems and social sciences to achieve a better world. To protect and keep our habitat on Earth habitable and ensure the evolution and survival of our species on planet earth and beyond.

Gieta is an Indian descent from Suriname living in Amsterdam the Netherlands, and culturally very close to India. She has worked closely with top event companies and assisted in setting up their Offices. She is passionate about empowering others, in particular women. Her mission is to support those in need and help them to deal with the challenges they face in their daily life. During 1996 Gieta took time away from home and works to spend working at children school in Nepal and India and engaged with local activities to understand the culture.

During her stay in Kathmandu Nepal, Gieta had the privilege to meet Anuradha Koirala, a Nepalese social activist and the founder and director of Maiti Nepal – a non-profit organization in Nepal, dedicated to helping victims of sex trafficking. Anuradha Koirala has been awarded the CNN Hero of year 2010. In India she travelled to Dheradun, where she met with Vandana Shiva, she is an Indian scholar, environmental activist and anti-globalization author. In Calcutta she met Mother Teresa known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta.
