I started working within hotels at my early age as receptionist after graduating university and worked my way up to be in my current position, Working with fantastic brands such as Millennium and Thistle & Guoman hotels.

My passion for customer service had always proven to be an asset for many of these organisations that I worked with. I became an ambassador for a chain of hotel with their new loyalty program aswell as Guest satisfactions survey within a group of hotels which I represented.

I had had always looked for new challenges to utilise my full potential as I knew there was more to me that had to come out. I desire people to succeed in what they do and was particularly drawn towards women in a way of supporting them in general.

In 2013 my colleague set up her new business which I played a huge part of making it a success, through supporting, coaching and direction. There had to be a sacrifice at a point where I had to let go of my career in order to support her full time.
Till date I am very confident to say that without my help, she would have probably given up. I am so proud to have played a huge part of her startup business which is now doing so well Years on.

In 2015 I decided I was going to help my immediate friends whom I knew needed a little bit of help and support in setting up their businesses and about 2years ago, I set up a group called Sisters Entrepreneurs where my main focus was to mentor and coach women in businesses as well as women who wanted to set up their businesses to come together and support one another. This group started with my immediate friends which was then extended for women outside my circle to be part.

My goal was to make it easy for these women find the right support they needed to pursue their God’s given talent.
Majority of these women were enthusiastic but lacked the encouragement or expertise.
Recognition and encouragement of these women is key if we need them to do more within the community which they live.
In January 2018, I decided to set up an awards programme for women in business.

Black women in business Awards was formed to recognise and celebrate the many achievements and contributions of exceptional Black Women in the UK. There are many Black Women in positions of authority and influence within public and private sectors in the UK, many of whom have succeeded amidst various challenges.

These women have worked hard to break down barriers and stigma attached to the successful, independent and entrepreneurial black woman. They have been innovative, outstanding, creative and dynamic in their fields and have supported and contributed to the socio-economic state of the UK.

We are not only looking to acknowledge and recognise women in large corporations and prominent roles, but also women who have set up and manage smaller business operations as well as those who display and maintain entrepreneurial spirit
