A mother of three, and Executive Emotional Intelligence Coach, with an extensive clinical and academic background in medicine and psychiatry, Gauri was raised in Shropshire, UK, and elected head girl of her High School. Gauri graduated in Medicine from the University of Bristol where she was also awarded a First-Class Honors in Bioethics. She has worked in the NHS as a doctor and clinical academic, with specialist experience in psychiatry. Her clinical experience includes working with families in systemic therapy and mothers in perinatal psychiatry. Gauri is published across peer-reviewed academic journals, on topics including population research on psychological benefits of meditation in Buddhist Monks and Nuns in Dharamshala, qualitative research on the Gates Foundation and press reporting of global health inequality, and access to essential medicines in low-income countries. Her research on family therapy has been disseminated by the World Health Organisation. Gauri received awards for her research which has been presented at national and international conferences. She has also collaborated and published on Medical Ethics education in UK medical schools. She is recognised as a Top 50 Thought Leader in Mental Health by Thinkers 360 for her work in democratising access to connection science for sustainable mental wellbeing.
