With a belief that healthcare and technology have the power to impact and alleviate multiple lives,
Gauri studied Biotechnology with focus on cardiac stem cells from the University of Nottingham. As the Lab life didn’t agree with her, Gauri chose to experience the business side of healthcare by working in the Pharmaceutical & Medical Product vertical at McKinsey & Company. It is here, while interacting with big pharma companies, she realised that medicine non-adherence was a huge unsolved problem and so she quit her job to try & do something about it.
As she lacked business know how and experience, she started her entrepreneurial journey by starting and running a retail pharmacy. With this exposure, guidance/mentorship from her father and after creating a little foothold in the industry, she started the research & development of the CAREDOSE system . And so the joy ride began! Since then she has brought together the ideal team of the best co-founders, advisors and a brilliant set of engineers to develop their technologies and take CAREDOSE forward and transform Healthcare.
With their test launch in January 2018, the CAREDOSE team is already working with some of the leading names in Healthcare including MAX Healthcare and Apollo Hospitals in private health. Motivated with the urge to make a positive difference, they are also working towards ensuring adherence in tuberculosis patients via their first public health project with the Central TB Division, Govt. Of India in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, Clinton Health Access Initiative and USAID.
Additionally, they will also be initiating work with global pharmaceutical manufacturers for disease
management of their patients, a project that was conceptualised in November 2018 when CAREDOSE was selected in the Global HealthTech Innovation Challenge organised by Accenture
