Empowering young women in Wales: Grassroots approaches to create systemic change for girls
Despite having access to many rights and opportunities, girls and young women in Wales still face multiple barriers to success and well-being, including gender stereotyping, sexual harassment, mental health problems and a high national rate of teenage pregnancy. This session will explore the grassroots work being undertaken in Wales to elevate and empower young women, providing practical ideas to promote girls’ voices, aspirations and leadership skills.
