Emma Van Riper is a women empowerment coach for moms who are ready to deepen their relationships, ignite their passions and create more joy in their life. As moms, we tend to put everyone and everything first and only try to sneak it our needs in the quiet, convenient spaces. But what does that lead to? Burnout at best and resentment at worst. As a mom of two boys she get, she really do. When she became a mom, she thought the most loving thing she could do for her family was to make sure everyone had everything they needed before she could squeeze in anything for herself. she tried to slip her wants and desires into to the convenient opportune windows that seldom came. How did this workout? As it turns, out not very well. She felt so depleted and drained. She had no idea who she was anymore now that she had kids. She knew the pre-mom Emma was still in there and dying to shine. She had let becoming a wife and mother become her identity. She love being a mom and a wife, she really do, but there was this need she couldn’t pinpoint. she needed to show up for herself too not just her family. You know that saying “when mama’s not happy, no ones happy” it’s true! We were all just getting by. Not only did she feel like she was losing a part of herself and it was affecting her family.
She read countless books, took yoga trainings, workshops, and have ongoing mentorships. After two years of solid dedication, she feel like she has found her stride. The best part is that she can see it in her family. There is this easiness and flow to the whole family dynamic. While things aren’t always unicorns and rainbows, she can tell the downfalls don’t hit us as hard. They have become a stronger team that can support each other when someone’s having a tough time without crumbling under the weight. It’s been a long journey in finding what works and what doesn’t. It is now her living mission to share this information with all the mama’s she can. Because happy mamas create happy homes and happy kids.
