Prof. Ehud Menipaz, Chairman, the 2018 India-Israel WEF Academic Delegation, is the Chairman of the Ira Foundation of Business, Technology and Society and Dean, School of Industrial Engineering & Management, Shenkar, is the outgoing President, Association of GEM National Teams and Director, Global Entrepreneurship Research Association. He is Professor Emeritus at Ben Gurion University, where he served as a full professor of Engineering and full professor of Business Administration, the Founding Director of the Ira Center for Business, Technology and Society and the Abe and Sol Krok Chair of Entrepreneurship Management. During his academic career, he has served as a Full Professor of Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Industrial Engineering & Management. As well, he has served as a Full Professor of Business Administration, specializing in applications of stochastic processes, global business strategy and technological innovation. He has served as a research associate and visiting professor at New York University (NYU), Columbia University, UCLA, USA, McGill University, Canada, Deakin University, Australia, Bilkent University, Turkey, among others.
Prof. Menipaz has more than two hundred academic journal articles, lecture proceedings, book chapters and twenty three books, including Essentials of Production and Operations Management, published by Prentice Hall, USA and International Business: Theory and Practice, published by Sage Publications, U.K (https://uk.sagepub.com/en-gb/eur/international-business/book227083 ). His book, Menipaz, E., Menipaz, E., Tripathi, S., S., International Business: Theory and Practice was published recently, as an India/South East Asia edition. His research is funded by national and international research foundations and he serves as an editor of a number of international scientific journals. He is an outgoing elected director of the Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (GERA) that oversees the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM, https://www.gemconsortium.org/ ) research conducted annually in about 70 countries over 20 years. Prof. Menipaz serves as the GEM National Team Leader and the research results and recommendations are brought before policy makers and business leaders annually. He serves as a Founding Director of Young Entrepreneurs Israel (YEI) (https://www.yazamim.org.il/), a member of YEI’s executive committee, member, executive committee of Industrial Engineering & Management Society, The Engineers and Architects Association of Israel and the Chairman of the Ira Foundation for the Advancement of Business, Technology & Society. Prof. Menipaz is a Founding Director of an international manufacturer of digital memory devices and a former Senior Partner and Service Director of Ernst & Young International. As an academic and consultant he has specialized in operational excellence and technological innovation as well as industrial and economic development of countries, government organizations and Fortune 500’s corporations. He has served as Chairman, Industrial Engineering & Management Committee, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, Government of Canada, a researcher at the American Quality Foundation, a member of the Sustainable Economic Development Forum, a member of various accreditation committees, Council of Higher Education, Government of Israel. Prof. Menipaz is married to Esther, has three children and eight grandchildren. His hobbies include tennis, downhill skiing and piano playing.
