Dr. Suganda Ramamoorthi

Dr. Suganda Ramamoorthi, Professor of Economics, has been teaching for the last 33 years. Her specialization is Gender Economics. She is passionate about working on gender equity and equality. She was successful in getting a sanction for an Incubator to an Arts and Science college by MSME to encourage women entrepreneurs the first of its kind in India. Being trained in conducting workshops for Capacity Building for Women, she has organized and conducted more than 100 workshops for different groups of women like Academicians, Corporates, students, SHG’s etc. on ‘Gender Sensitization, Work Life Balance, Sexual Harassment at Workplace etc. for both men and women. She is closely associated with NGO’s, is a member of Women’s Studies Committee, UGC and numerous college in the capacity of advisor. She has travelled extensively to UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Thailand, China, Austria, Malaysia, Sri Lanka etc. to present papers in conferences.
