Dr. Shweta Singh

Shweta has nearly five years of corporate experience which includes two of the top three public relations firms in India and the Confederation of Indian Industry. She was selected for UGC’s prestigious Junior Research Fellowship in the first attempt and completed her PhD at Banaras Hindu University. After submitting her dissertation, she was hired by the Government of Bihar as a Communication Expert posted at the Chief Minister’s Office. After a short stint there, she decided to take a break from full time work and focus on raising her son who is now four.

Currently, she resides in her hometown Varanasi and teaches college students. She writes extensively on gender, education and development. She was a member of the committee that designed the Women’s Studies course for MHRD’s e-PG Pathshaala. She is also the Editor of India’s first e-magazine on higher education.
