Dr. Pushpinder Walia

Dr. Pushpinder Walia joined as Principal in BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar on 31st December 2015. With BA Hons., M.A. M.Phil and Ph.D., Dr. Walia carries a rich academic record as well as experience, including seven years as Principal in DAV College for Women, Ferozepur. Before joining as Principal in Ferozepur, she taught in the Department of English, BBK DAV College for Women, where she co-ordinated and initiated various academic and co-curricular activities. Dr. Pushpinder Walia is a published researcher, and has presented her research work abroad at Universities of Oxford and Cambridge (U.K), Cleveland State University (U.S.A.) and international conferences in Germany, Austria as well as Scotland. With several research papers and books to her credit, Dr. Walia has also published considerable features on the socio-cultural aspects of the city of Amritsar. She has been awarded with several honours at National and International level. Having joined as Principal in BBK DAV College for Women, Dr. Pushpinder Walia intends to take the institution further by focusing on innovative programmes, research ventures and academic excellence.
