Dr. Chitra Rajan is a serial Entrepreneur with interests ranging from Construction, Agriculture to Renewable Energy. Her current focus is on Renewable Energy. Her organization is currently in the business of producing Bio-NG from Organic waste. The setup ensures that 40 Tons of organic waste every day is disposed in the most environmentally friendly way instead of this waste ending in Landfills. 90% of the employees of the setup are unskilled, uneducated and from rural back ground.
Chitra Rajan has a PhD with specialization in Organizational Leadership. She also has a double Masters in Regional planning and Business management. She has been associated with IIT Madras in the field of Renewable Energy. She has over 23 years of cross-functional experience in the information technology industry across a wide spectrum of functions with proven ability of successful business development while consistently achieving significant growth. Chitra had worked with MNCs like HP, Digital Global Soft, and ITC etc. As part of her international marketing experience she has dealt with clients in more than 10 countries.

Chitra has won many awards for her renewable energy business. Some of them are:

Chitra whose primary zeal is to mentor as many entrepreneurs, currently mentors entrepreneurs based in Africa and different parts in India. She is a Mentor with Cherie Blair Foundation amongst other organizations.
As part of her Social responsibilities she educates girl children from economically weaker as well as minority sections of the society. Some of the students have qualified as Nurses, Engineers etc. She has moulded her children to be socially responsible. Her son and daughter together collect funds to establish libraries in rural communities. Advaith raises funds by collecting recyclable waste from the neighbourhood and sells the same, while Ananya make and sells homemade soaps under the brand “Sunny Side’s splendid soaps”.
