A solicitor, with a very wide range of experience in all aspects of Family, Housing and Civil Litigation. An LAA accredited Supervisor with extensive experience in Family, Housing and a specialist in Domestic Violence Injunctions. In particular Djanan has experience and knowledge of the issues around culture related pressures in particular on women and girls. Having acted for a very wide range of victims across the cultural spectrum she tries to ensure that the firms ethos of providing the best possible advice is suited to the particular situation of a client and his or her family and that the clients best interest is always placed first and foremost. Despite the reduced boundaries of legal aid qualification Djanan has tried to maintain the delivery of a legal aid service within the areas of Housing, Family and Crime. She has preferred to keep the firm a niche and specialist practice delivering the best possible advice and outcomes for clients within legal aid and private client sector at reasonable rates. The policy of the firm is to advise clients to the best possible outcome for their case as cost effectively for them as possible. Years of experience of running her own practice has shown that an overload of cases rarely gives the best possible outcome for a client and Djanan therefore prefers the current practice of the firm to keep a low case ratio enabling the herself and the solicitors in her practice to work most effectively for a client. As well being the founder member of the law practice, Djanan was also one of the founder members of the legal software company, DPS now one of the top 100 software packages used by solicitors and accredited by the Law Society. Djanan designed and created the original layout for the civil litigation, matrimonial and criminal packages. Djanan is a Turkish speaker.
